Giyasov and Jalolov win their latest fights

Yesterday, November 14, a professional boxing event took place at the “Humo Arena” in Tashkent. During the evening, Uzbek professional boxers Shahram Giyasov and Bahodir Jalolov secured early victories in their respective fights.
In the super heavyweight division, undefeated Bahodir Jalolov faced Nigerian Solomon Adebayo. The fight, scheduled for eight rounds, ended in the fourth round when Jalolov knocked out his opponent with a powerful punch. This marked Jalolov’s 17th professional fight and 17th victory, while Adebayo suffered his first defeat in the professional ring.
In the main event of the evening, Uzbek boxer Shahram Giyasov, the mandatory challenger for the WBA belt in the super welterweight division, faced Russian Mark Urvanov. This eight-round fight also ended early, concluding in the fourth round. Giyasov defeated his opponent via technical knockout, bringing his professional record to 18 wins in 18 fights. Urvanov recorded his fifth career defeat.
The event was attended by two heavyweight champions as honorary guests: Ukrainian Alexander Usyk and American Terence Crawford.
For context, on April 13 this year, Uzbek professional boxer Shahram Giyasov won his 17th professional fight at a boxing event in Atlantic City, USA. On October 6, at the “IBA Pro 10” tournament in Saint Petersburg, super heavyweight Uzbek boxer Bahodir Jalolov defeated Russian Vitaliy Kudukhov on points.
