Mamarizo Nurmurodov, the Central Bank Chairman, assured that funds from the Recovery and Development Fund remain intact, addressing journalists at a recent press briefing.

During a press conference on April 25, a QALAMPIR.UZ reporter inquired about the financial condition of Uzbekistan's Reconstruction and Development Fund, the nation's primary fund:

Economists often associate budget deficits and rising external debts with the Reconstruction and Development Fund. There have been reports of dwindling funds in the fund and claims of an empty treasury. How much money does the Recovery and Development Fund hold?

Nurmurodov addressed the journalist's query by stating:

The budget code was established with the understanding that it's incorrect to entirely refrain from utilizing funds from the Recovery and Development Fund. While specific figures are not disclosed, a portion of our gold currency reserves belongs to the Fund. Assertions of an empty treasury are inaccurate. While fluctuations may occur due to exchange rates or interest payments, the Fund's assets remain intact, clarified Nurmurodov, the Central Bank Chairman.
