46787Gayrat Dustov, known for his appeal regarding conditions at a methane gas station, was released from the courtroom today, January 3, following a decision by the appeals court. This was reported by a QALAMPIR.UZ journalist was present at the hearing.
"The decision of the Bektemir District Court of Tashkent City on December 26, 2024, concerning Gayrat Akhmadovich Dustov, shall be modified. Dustov Gayrat Akhmadovich is sentenced to 8 days of administrative arrest under Article 183 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The imposed sentence is considered served. Dustov shall be released from administrative arrest immediately in the courtroom. The appeals are partially satisfied. It is explained that parties dissatisfied with this decision have the right to file a formal complaint or protest with the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan within six months," presiding judge Farrukh Ergashev announced during the session.
Initially, Dustov was found guilty under Article 183 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility by the court of first instance and sentenced to 15 days of administrative detention.
