Karomidin Gadoyev has been appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Malaysia, according to a report by the "Dunyo" news agency.


Karomidin Gadoyev, a native of Kumushkent village in the Bukhara region, is a graduate of the Faculty of Geography at Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan). He holds a PhD in Geography. Since 1995, he has held various positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including roles in the central apparatus, the Uzbekistan mission in NATO, and the embassy in Brussels. Gadoyev holds the diplomatic rank of a first-class advisor.


Until his recent appointment, Karomidin Gadoyev served as the deputy head of the Department of Cooperation with the UN and other international political organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.


Gadoyev replaces Ravshan Usmanov, who served as the head of the diplomatic mission in Kuala Lumpur from 2018 to 2023. Ravshan Usmanov has been appointed as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Great Britain.
