Individuals promising illegal migration to the USA were apprehended by authorities

Individuals promising to transport citizens to the USA unlawfully via Mexico were apprehended, as reported by the State Security Service.

In a swift operation in the Andijan region, a person from Marhamat district, born in 1997, was arrested while soliciting $19,000 to smuggle a citizen from Asaka district to the USA via Mexico, having already received $15,000 upfront.

Continuing the operation, a Marhamat district resident born in 1992, involved in this illegal activity and having received $6,000 out of $15,000, was apprehended.

In Navoi region, a person from Pastdargom district, born in 1997, was apprehended while accepting $14,000 to smuggle a Nurota district citizen to the USA through Mexico.

In the Syrdarya region, a Jizzakh city resident born in 1998 was caught promising to transport a Sardoba district resident to the USA for $15,000, having already received $12,000 and 6 million soums.

In Bektemir district of Tashkent city, a woman from Angren city, born in 1990, was apprehended for offering to smuggle a Chilonzor district citizen to the USA via the "Turkey-Nicaragua-Mexico" route, demanding $16,000 and receiving $9,000 upfront.

Criminal cases have been initiated against all individuals, with ongoing investigations.

Last month, 74 Uzbeks who entered the USA illegally were deported. The US Embassy in Tashkent urges Uzbek citizens to pursue legal and safe means of traveling to the United States.
