In Ferghana, individuals involved in organizing cockfight gambling were apprehended

The Regional Department of Internal Affairs reported the arrest of a group of citizens engaged in the "Cockfight" gambling game in the Fergana region.

As per reports, a swift operation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Fergana region revealed that a person born in 1962, residing in "Qalinpostin" neighborhood, Kuva district, orchestrated a gambling game in collaboration with a partner born in 1974, residing in "Qayragoch" neighborhood. Three additional individuals participated in this illicit activity, involving 400 residents from "Mustaqillik" neighborhood in Fergana city, with significant wagers placed on the matches.

The accused were apprehended while facilitating cockfighting and extorting 50,000 soums from each participant.

The seized evidence included 84 million 356 thousand soums, 3 thousand 750 US dollars, 8 thousand 741 Kyrgyz soms, 14 million soums, 14 roosters, and various other items from the event's cash register. The investigation is currently underway.

It's worth noting that previously, a 43-year-old man from the "Khumin" neighborhood in Jondar district, Bukhara region, was arrested for operating a gambling house in his residence.
