A father-in-law who brutally killed and beheaded his daughter-in-law was arrested in Ferghana

A court verdict was read against the father-in-law who brutally killed his daughter-in-law and beheaded her in Koshtepa district of Fergana region.

It was found that this incident took place in October 2022 in one of the apartments in the “Kumdon” neighborhood of the district.

According to the case documents, the accused, born in 1958, had an argument with the wife of his youngest child.  During the quarrel, the father-in-law hit his daughter-in-law, born in 1988, on the neck.  As a result, the bride lost consciousness and fell to the ground.

Taking advantage of the lack of people at home, the accused put the woman in the back seat of his Matiz car. He took her to a hill in the village of Akbulok, Fergana district.  After that, he completely decapitated the victim with a kitchen knife.  Her head was then wrapped in a black cellophane bag and hung from a juniper tree on the side of the road in “Fayzabad” Mahalla, Altiariq District.

According to the conclusion of the forensic examination, the deceased died as a result of severe injuries and loss of blood.

This criminal case was considered by the Koshtepa District Court, and the verdict was read against the accused.

The defendant was found guilty under Article 97, Part 2, Clause “v” and Article 134, Part 1 of the Criminal Code.  A sentence of imprisonment for a term of 13 years and 2 months was imposed, partially adding to the sentence imposed on the basis of part 3 of Article 59 of the Criminal Code.
