3 Indian students were injured in a gas explosion in Fergana

Three Indian students sustained injuries in a gas explosion incident in Ferghana. Hayot Shamsutdinov, the spokesperson for the General Prosecutor's Office, provided this information to QALAMPIR.UZ.

On March 11, a gas explosion occurred at residence 10, Sharq Street, in Fergana city, resulting in injuries to the three Indian citizens who were renting the premises. They are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Two of the injured individuals were born in 2001, while the third was born in 2003. All three were students at the Fergana Public Health Medical Institute.

Following this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 259 of the Criminal Code for the violation of fire safety regulations.

It's worth mentioning that Nawas Nasmel, a 20-year-old Indian student at Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali Ibn Sina, had tragically passed away earlier.
