Father kills 1-year-old daughter in Fergana

A man in Fergana Region has stabbed his one-year-old daughter to death, Millar reported.

According to the report, the 31-year-old father inflicted a fatal knife wound on his child, who had recently turned one year old.

Court materials indicate that a domestic dispute broke out between the man and his wife due to a misunderstanding. During the argument, the man allegedly sought revenge against his spouse and stabbed their defenseless one-year-old daughter in the abdomen with a kitchen knife.

Despite being rushed to hospital, the child died from her injuries.

The case was heard at the Kokand City Criminal Court. The man was found guilty under Article 97, Part 2, Clause “v” of the Criminal Code (intentional murder) and sentenced to 17 years in prison.

It is worth noting that earlier, a female teacher was stabbed to death inside a school building in Asaka district of Andijan Region.
