13411A criminal case has been opened against a woman who was officially working as a nanny for a 2-year-old child in the city of Fergana, Fergana region, based on a power of attorney. The Children's Ombudsman reported this.
It is noted that a woman named G.M., born in 1988, living in Fergana, left her minor daughter, G.I., born in 2022, in the care of 36-year-old M.Kh., based on a power of attorney, due to her departure to work in Russia, and left in August 2024.
The mother also sent the nanny M.Kh. a fee for her services and money for the child's daily expenses.
On November 15, while the minor G.I. was going down the stairs in her apartment, the nanny seriously injured her but did not take her to the hospital, putting the child's health at risk. As a result, the child was diagnosed with a concussion and other serious life-threatening injuries.
On December 28, 2024, the Investigation Department of the Federal Board of Internal Affairs of the Fergana City Internal Affairs Directorate initiated a criminal case against citizen M.Kh. under Part 1 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code (Endangerment), and an investigation is currently underway.
It should be recalled that earlier in Tashkent, it was reported that a 3-year-old girl in the care of a nanny had died. During the investigation, it was found that the applicant's child had fallen down the stairs to the basement, but had gotten up and started playing again, so the nanny did not inform her mother about this. The nanny also did not consult doctors about the situation.
