A 44-year-old man from Fergana was sentenced to three years in prison for brutally assaulting his wife of 18 years. This information was reported in the "Millar" program.
The incident occurred in the Oltiariq district of the Fergana region. The man, who had been working in Russia, became suspicious of his wife for unfounded reasons. Upon returning from Russia, he frequently quarreled with his wife and ultimately assaulted her severely.
The case was heard in the Oltiariq District Criminal Court, where the man was found guilty of committing the crime as stipulated under Article 126 (Family Violence) of the Criminal Code. He was subsequently sentenced to three years in prison.
It is worth noting that a similar case occurred earlier in the Qorakol district of the Bukhara region, where a 49-year-old man stabbed and killed his wife out of jealousy.
