A greenhouse in Fergana was found to be illegally connected to the natural gas network, siphoning off 1.6 billion soums worth of gas. The discovery was made during a raid by "Hududgaztaminot" JSC.
According to reports, the greenhouse, located in the "Shakarqishloq" neighborhood of Fergana city, had been using natural gas without any official documentation or permission. The authorities recalculated the gas consumption and determined the total damage caused amounted to 1.6 billion soums. The case has been forwarded to law enforcement for further investigation and legal evaluation.
This follows a similar incident in the Kogan district of the Bukhara region, where a greenhouse was caught stealing 8.85 billion soums of natural gas.
