A father who was evading alimony payments was discovered in a well in Ferghana

During the latest inspection conducted by the investigators of the Fergana regional administration, the debtor was found hiding in a well within his apartment. This was reported by the regional office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIB).

It was revealed that a resident of Altiariq district had divorced her husband due to family disputes, and he failed to provide financial support for their child. Subsequently, the mother, exercising her rights, petitioned the court for her child's entitlements. Following the court's ruling, the procedure for monthly alimony collection for two children was ordered in favor of the claimant.

The Altiariq District Department of the Bureau received the judicial enforcement document and initiated enforcement actions. However, the father did not fulfill his alimony obligations, and the debt exceeded 10 million soums.

"In addition to this, he went to Tashkent city and worked 'undercover'," the report stated.

Ultimately, a search warrant was issued against him by the state authorities. Department inspectors, in collaboration with law enforcement officers, conducted a search. Consequently, it was discovered that the father had returned to the apartment from Tashkent. Upon arrival, family members claimed he was absent. After thorough inspection, the debtor was found in a recently excavated well within the residence.

The wanted individual was handed over to the state bailiff according to the established protocol.

It is worth noting that last month, in Surkhandarya, a father who had been wanted for two years for failing to pay alimony to his children was found in the basement of his house. In Kashkadarya, a man who fled without paying alimony was discovered concealed under blankets in his residence. In the Tashkent region, a man wanted for alimony non-payment was apprehended while traveling as a passenger in a Damas car. Upon sighting MIB officers, he attempted to escape to a field during a swift operation conducted in collaboration with the investigation department of the Tashkent regional MIB and the State Security Service. Subsequent verification revealed his identity as a father who had been evading alimony payments until then.
