An 11-year-old girl was raped and killed in Fergana city, Fergana region. Hayat Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office, informed about this.

According to reports, the incident took place on July 20 of this year in an unfinished building located on Yangi Asr street in Fergana city. The body of an 11-year-old girl was found near the building with signs of rape and murder.

In connection with this situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Articles 97 (Deliberate murder), 118 (Indecent assault), and 119 (Satisfaction of sexual desire using force in an unnatural way) of the Criminal Code.

During the investigation, it was found that a person born in 2006 is suspected of committing this crime, and he was detained in procedural order.

"Two accomplices who were with the suspect on the day of the incident are also being investigated for their involvement in this crime. As the committed act belongs to the category of sexual crimes, other details will not be disclosed," the report said.

We remind you that on January 31 of this year, the body of a 12-year-old girl with signs of rape and murder was found in Yangihayat district. The suspect in the criminal case (a 29-year-old man) was arrested in accordance with Article 221 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The suspect carried out repairs in the house of the deceased during the summer months of 2022 as a hired worker. On May 11, the defendant A.T. was sentenced to life imprisonment.
