11001The draft decision of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan «On changing the territory of the cities of Kokan, Margilan, and Fergana, and the districts of Uzbekistan, Uchkuprik, Dangara, Fergana, Tashlak and Koshtepa” has been submitted for discussion.
According to the draft decision, in order to harmonize the boundaries of the cities and districts of the Fergana region, in accordance with the concept of urban development:
- 814.9 hectares of land in the Dangara district, 1,456 hectares in the Uzbekistan district and 424.66 hectares in the Uchkuprik district to the town of Kokand;
- 951.5 hectares of land in the Fergana region, 133.59 hectares in the Košhtepa region and 34.4 hectares in the Tashlak region to Margilan;
- 811.66 hectares of land in the Fergana region will be transferred to the city of Fergana.
The description and boundary drawing of the borders of the territory of the Dangara, Uzbekistan, Uchkuprik, Fergana, Koshtepa and Tashlak districts of the Fergana region and the cities of Kokand, Margilan and Fergana, submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan to be changed, will be approved in accordance with the annexes.
