We came to Iran to win – Abbosbek Fayzullaev

Uzbek national team player Abbosbek Fayzullaev spoke at a press conference ahead of the match against Iran in the 8th round of the 3rd stage of Group A in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, sharing his expectations.  

"An exciting match awaits us tomorrow. Two strong teams will face off, but we came here to win. We will give our all and fight for victory," said Fayzullaev.  

When asked about the possibility of continuing his career at a top European club, Fayzullaev chose to keep his response vague.  

"It’s not the right time to answer this question, as we have an important match tomorrow. Our full focus is on the game ahead," he said.  

It is worth noting that earlier, Uzbekistan national team head coach Temur Kapadze also shared his thoughts ahead of the match against Iran.
