Ministry of Energy authorized to change the term of base rates

The Ministry of Energy, in coordination with the government, has been authorized to modify the terms of validity for base rates on natural gas and electricity based on air temperature during the heating and other seasons. This decision was outlined in a resolution adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers on February 28.
According to the resolution, the Ministry of Energy, along with “Regional Electric Networks” JSC and “Regional Gas Supply” JSC, must announce any changes to base rate terms through their official websites and media channels.
Previously, from March 1, the base rate for natural gas during the heating season was reduced from 500 cubic meters to 100 cubic meters. However, due to persistently low temperatures in March, the Cabinet of Ministers extended the base rate for the heating season until April 1.
