Specialized judges to hear labor disputes

In Uzbekistan, judges specializing in labor disputes will begin operating from August 1 this year. This is provided for in the resolution of the Presidium of the Supreme Court “On forming a corps of judges specialized in hearing labor disputes in civil courts.”

According to the resolution, within the existing staffing units of civil courts, the work of judges specializing in labor disputes will be launched from August 1, 2026.

From now on, specialized judges will operate as follows:

  • four judges in the Judicial Panel for Civil Cases of the Supreme Court;
  • three judges each in the judicial panels for civil cases of the Court of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional courts and Tashkent city court;

in civil courts:

  • two judges at the Nukus interdistrict court;
  • two judges at the Bukhara interdistrict court;
  • two judges at the Jizzakh interdistrict court;
  • two judges at the Karshi interdistrict court;
  • two judges at the Karmana interdistrict court;
  • two judges at the Namangan interdistrict court;
  • two judges at the Samarkand city court and one judge at the Kattakurgan interdistrict court;
  • two judges at the Termez interdistrict court;
  • two judges at the Ohangaron interdistrict court, and one judge each at the Ortachirchiq and Yangiyol interdistrict courts;
  • two judges each at the Mirzo Ulugbek, Mirobod, Shaykhontohur, Uchtepa and Yakkasaray interdistrict courts;
  • two judges at the Fergana interdistrict court;
  • two judges at the Urgench interdistrict court.

Applications related to labor disputes submitted to courts after August 1, 2026, will be distributed among specialized judges.

Cases received before July 31, 2026, including those already accepted for proceedings, will be reviewed and completed in accordance with the procedure in force before August 1, 2026.
