Starting now, the basic tariff for electricity and gas will be maintained even if consumption exceeds the set limit by 20%. However, if consumption surpasses this 20% threshold, the cost for the excess will increase by 20%. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this today, August 20, during an open dialogue with businessmen in Nukus.
It has been reported that many industrial enterprises are dissatisfied with the current policy, where exceeding the set limits for electricity and gas results in being charged double the standard rate. To address this concern and support industry growth, these restrictive measures are set to be eased.
Enterprises categorized as "high" and "medium" in the business rating will now be allowed to pay for electricity in two monthly installments.
Entrepreneurs facing financial difficulties due to budget debts, loans, or other obligations have had their accounts garnished, making it difficult for them to pay for electricity, gas, and water. However, as long as production continues, debt repayment will be expedited.
Additionally, even during "collections," payments to communal services will not be halted.
