The number of bodies responsible for environmental damage is increased

Now, the National Guard and internal affairs bodies will consider administrative violations in the field of ecology. This is stipulated in the law "On amendments and additions to certain legal documents of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the improvement of legislation in the fields of ecology and public order," signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev today, July 11.

According to the amendments to the laws "On the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan" and "On Internal Affairs Bodies," the National Guard and internal affairs bodies are responsible for the protection of ecology and the environment. It was decided to take measures to combat violations in the field.

Amendments were also made to the Code of Administrative Responsibility, which grants powers to the National Guard and internal affairs bodies to prosecute individuals who have committed crimes in the field of ecology and environmental protection.

This law shall enter into force three months after its official publication.

We remind you that at the forty-first plenary session of the Senate, held on June 1 of this year, the "law on amendments and additions to some legal documents of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in connection with the improvement of legislation in the fields of ecology and public order," was approved by the senators.
