The matches of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) championship are expected to be held at the "Bunyodkor", "Jar" and "Pakhtakor" stadiums in Tashkent.

Ravshan Ermatov, the first vice-president of the Football Association of Uzbekistan, a member of the CAFA Executive Committee, told this to TASS in an interview.

"The Asian Championship among 20-year-old players has just ended in Uzbekistan, the tournament was very successful.  All the fields are well prepared, the International Football Federation and the Asian Football Confederation have highly appreciated the preparations for the competition, including that we want to prepare the "Bunyodkor", "Jar" and "Pakhtakor" stadiums for the CAFA tournament.  The games will be held mainly at the "Bunyodkor" stadium, where the final of the Asian Championship was held," says Ermatov.

CAFA was established in June 2014 and is one of the five regional associations of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).  AFC also includes the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the East Asian Football Federation (EAAF), the South Asian Football Federation (CAFF) and the West Asian Football Federation (VAFF).  The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) does not operate in such a segregated system.
