Prevention inspector shoots his wife, child and himself in Bostanlik district

On August 6, a tragic incident occurred in the Tashkent region, where a prevention inspector fatally shot his wife, child, and himself. This was confirmed by Hayot Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office, in a statement to QALAMPIR.UZ.

The incident took place at 21:00 in the Bostanlik district. A conflict arose between the prevention inspector, born in 1996, residing in a service apartment, and his 28-year-old spouse. In the course of the dispute, the inspector used his service weapon, a "PM tabel" pistol, to deliberately shoot and kill his wife and their son, born in 2024.

Subsequently, the inspector took his own life by shooting himself in the head in an apparent attempt to escape the consequences of his actions.

"In connection with this incident, the Bostanlik district prosecutor's office has initiated a criminal case under Article 97 of the Criminal Code (Deliberate murder), and preliminary investigations are ongoing," stated Hayot Shamsutdinov.
