Illegal electricity usage worth 1.2 billion soums uncovered in Bukhara

A farm in the Bukhara region was found to have illegally consumed electricity worth 1.2 billion soums, according to a report by "Uzenergoinspeksiya".

During an operational check, it was discovered that a farm located in the residence of Z.H., a resident of the Karakul district, was bypassing the electricity meter by directly connecting devices to an outlet.

“Preliminary calculations revealed that this violation caused the electricity supply company to incur losses amounting to 1 billion 271 million soums,” the report states.

Documents related to the incident have been prepared and forwarded to law enforcement authorities for further investigation.

It is worth noting that a similar case was previously reported in Samarkand, where a farm named May was caught stealing 1.8 billion soums worth of electricity. A criminal case was filed under Part 4, Article 169 (theft), Subparagraph "a" of the Criminal Code.
