2371The director of a school in the Romitan district of the Bukhara region, who forced teachers to collect votes for the "Initiative Budget" project, has been fined 34 million soums. This was reported by the Senate's National Commission on Combating Human Trafficking and Decent Labor Issues.
The commission initiated a detailed investigation into reports on social media regarding the involvement of certain sector representatives in collecting votes for the "Initiative Budget."
According to the results of the study conducted by the State Labor Inspectorate, it was found that the director of General Secondary School No. 18 in Romitan district coerced school teachers to vote for the "Initiative Budget" project, a task that was not part of their job description.
As a result, an administrative fine equivalent to 100 times the BHM (base calculation amount) — 34 million soums — was imposed on the director by the relevant article of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.
For reference, the voting phase, which began on August 22, lasted until August 31 at 11:59 p.m., spanning 10 days. During this time, 39 complaints were received regarding forced voting. The majority of complaints were reported in the Fergana region (7), followed by Tashkent (6), and Namangan and Jizzakh regions (5 each). Most complaints came from secondary schools (19) and medical organizations (16). All received appeals were forwarded to the relevant district (city) Councils of People's Deputies for review.
It should be noted that the list of winning projects in the "Open Budget" initiative was announced earlier.
