9253A 49-year-old man fatally stabbed his wife out of jealousy in the Qorakol district of Bukhara region. The press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office, Hayat Shamsutdinov, disclosed this information to QALAMPIR.UZ.
On April 22, 12:09 a.m., the DIA duty station of the district received a report of a 34-year-old woman's death due to injuries inflicted by a sharp object in her living room in the "Polvonlar" neighborhood.
The deceased woman's husband, engaged in a jealous dispute, inflicted several knife wounds, intentionally causing her death.
A criminal case under Article 97 (Intentional murder), Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan was initiated, and the suspect was detained.
Previously, a man in Syrdarya who killed his wife and mother-in-law after marriage was sentenced to 24 years. Similarly, a 32-year-old woman in Samarkand received a 12-year sentence for tying up her intoxicated husband, dousing him in gasoline, and setting him on fire.
