In the Bukhara region, authorities have seized a significant quantity of tobacco products that were being transported under the guise of black tea. The State Customs Committee reported the incident.

According to the documentation, over 16 tons of black tea were supposed to be loaded into a cargo train container that entered through the "Khojadavlat" railway border customs post for transit.

However, customs inspections revealed that the container contained 705,500 packs of cigarettes instead of tea. Additionally, the products lacked the required excise stamps from the receiving country.

"Preliminary estimates indicate that the total value of the seized tobacco products amounts to 17 billion soum, and they are currently in temporary storage. Customs investigations are ongoing regarding this case," the report states.

Earlier, in Karakalpakstan, authorities apprehended an individual attempting to transport USSR coins to Russia.
