53-year-old man stabs two acquaintances in Bukhara (video)

A video circulating on social media shows a man stabbing two individuals—a woman and a young man—outside the office of JSC "Uzbekistan Temiryollari" in Kogon, Bukhara region. To clarify the situation, QALAMPIR.UZ reached out to Hayat Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office.

Shamsutdinov confirmed that the incident occurred on October 13 at approximately 1:10 p.m. A man, identified as A.G., born in 1971 in Kogon, attacked his acquaintances due to a prior disagreement. The victims included N.A., a 63-year-old woman, and U.D., a 28-year-old man. A.G. used a kitchen knife, striking both victims in an attempt to kill them. U.D. succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at the city medical association, while N.A. is currently hospitalized.

As a result of this incident, the Kogon City Prosecutor's Office has initiated a criminal case against A.G. under Article 25 (Preparation and Attempt to Commit a Crime) and Article 97 (Intentional Murder) of the Criminal Code. A.G. has been detained in accordance with procedural regulations.

Earlier, a similar incident was reported in the Jizzakh region, where a husband stabbed his wife at her workplace.
