Reports have surfaced regarding the death of a 10-year-old girl in a tragic traffic accident involving a Nexia-2 car driven by Elyor Toshpulatov, an assistant to the Iftikhor neighborhood in the Romitan district of Bukhara region. To confirm the details, QALAMPIR.UZ reached out to Rustam Sultonov, a senior inspector with the Road Traffic Safety Group at the Romitan district Internal Affairs Department.

According to Sultonov, the accident occurred on September 20, and it was indeed caused by the mayor’s assistant. The victim was a third-grade student at the local school No. 7. Police officers are currently at the scene investigating the incident.

When QALAMPIR.UZ contacted the press service of the Bukhara regional Internal Affairs Department, officials initially stated that they had no information regarding the accident. Upon further inquiry, it was revealed that the head of the Romitan district Internal Affairs Department was in a meeting and would provide information afterward. However, communication with district and regional authorities remains limited, and no official statement has been released by the regional Internal Affairs Office yet.

This tragedy follows another fatal accident just days earlier, on September 19, in Tashkent. A student at a driving school was killed in a road accident involving a BYD car. The student succumbed to injuries while being transported to a medical facility.
