On August 2, during the next day of the Olympics, Sitora Turdibekova, a female boxer from Uzbekistan, will compete for a place in the quarter-finals.
Lin Yui-Tin, representing Chinese Taipei (Taiwan), will be Turdibekova's opponent.
It should be noted that Lin Yui-Tin did not compete in the 2023 Women's World Championship due to being a biological male. However, Lin Yui-Tin has been permitted by the International Olympic Committee to compete in the Olympics.
Earlier reports have indicated that another athlete participating in the Olympic Games was also a man.
