Odiljon Hamrobekov, a member of the Uzbekistan national football team, shared his thoughts ahead of the match between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, which is part of the 2nd round of the 3rd stage of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

"First and foremost, we are grateful for the hospitality. At this stage, there is no weak team, so we will play for victory in tomorrow's match and strive to achieve the result we desire," said Hamrobekov.

Hamrobekov also reflected on the previous encounter between the teams.

"Before the Asian Cup, we defeated the Kyrgyz Republic by a significant margin, but that match was during a period when both teams were focusing heavily on physicality. Tomorrow's match will be a true qualifier for the World Cup. The importance of tomorrow's game is high, as our opponent prepares differently for friendly versus official matches. I anticipate a tough and engaging contest," Hamrobekov added.
