8359On 7 November, 6 representatives of Uzbekistan fought at the ongoing Asian Boxing Championship in Amman, Jordan.
Saidjamshid Jafarov won over Abdumalik Boltayev from Tajikistan in 75 kg weight. Odiljon Aslanov (-80 kg) defeated his Indian opponent in the quarter-finals and qualified for the next stage. However, Shahjakhan Abdullayev, who entered the ring at -86 kg, lost the opportunity to Adilhindavi Odai, the representative of the hosts. In the 92 kg weight category, Madiyar Saidrahimov left no chance for Abdulla Rajabov, a representative of Cambodia, originally from Uzbekistan - 5:0. Also, in the +92 kg weight category, Lazizbek Mullojhonov entered the ring against Ali Alqrib from Kuwait and won with a big advantage.
Aziza Yakubova, the representative of the women's national team of Uzbekistan, also fought in yesterday's matches and lost to Nguyen Thi Tam from Vietnam.
Thus, 4 more representatives of Uzbekistan won tickets to the semi-finals of the Asian Championship, while 2 boxers will not advance past the quarter-finals.
