The trial against “Bakhti Tashkentsky” is starting. He is charged with 10 counts

The trial of Bakhtiyor Qudratullayev, known in the criminal world as "Bakhti Tashkentsky," is set to begin tomorrow, May 29, at the Shaikhontohur District Court, presided over by Judge Tolibjon Obidov.

Initially, the Head of the Internal Affairs Department of Tashkent announced that over 30 individuals, led by Bakhtiyor Qudratullayev, were charged under Article 242 (Criminal Organization) and Article 165 (Extortion) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, among other charges. However, the court documents list numerous accusations against Qudratullayev.

The charges include:

  • Article 104 (Deliberate infliction of serious bodily injury), Part 3, Clause "g"
  • Article 109 (Intentionally inflicting slight bodily injury), Part 2
  • Article 138 (Unlawful deprivation of liberty by force), Part 1
  • Article 165 (Extortion), Part 3, Clauses "a" and "v"
  • Clauses "a" and "c" of Part 4 of Article 168 (Fraud)
  • Article 228 (Preparation of documents, stamps, seals, forms, their forgery, sale, or use), Part 2, Clauses "a" and "b", Part 3
  • Article 242 (Criminal conspiracy), Part 1
  • Article 243 (Legalization of proceeds from criminal activities)
  • Article 276 (Unlawful preparation, possession, storage, and other actions without the purpose of transferring narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances), Part 2, Clauses "a" and "b"
  • Article 277 (Harassment), Part 2, Clauses "b" and "c"

We remind you that on November 28, 2023, at 21:45, Bakhtiyor Qudratullayev was apprehended from his home in the Yakkasaroy district of Tashkent by internal affairs officers. He had deliberately violated public conduct rules by shouting at law enforcement officers and refusing to comply with their lawful instructions to accompany them to the police station to verify his identity.

Following this, Qudratullayev was found guilty of administrative offenses under Article 183 and Article 194, Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, and sentenced to 15 days of administrative detention.

His lawyer subsequently appealed the decision, but on December 9, the court upheld the initial ruling and rejected the appeal.

After serving the 15-day sentence, the prosecutor sanctioned Qudratullayev's continued detention during the investigation.
