Case of “Bakhti Tashkentsky” is currently under review at the appeals court

On July 19, the public trial involving Bakhtiyor Qudratullaev, known as "Bakhti Tashkentsky," and others concluded, with the verdict being announced. Following the verdict, the defendants' lawyers filed an appeal. This information was reported by a source from QALAMPIR.UZ.

According to the source, the appeal trial began on September 6. The prosecutor of the Tashkent City Prosecutor's Office, Sh. Shomirzaev, is representing the prosecution. The court session involves eight defendants and their legal representatives, as well as three interested parties. The next hearing is scheduled for September 13.

In the original trial presided over by Tolibjon Obidov, chairman of the Shaikhontohur District Court, Bakhtiyor Qudratullaev was sentenced to 20 years in prison. His brother, Shuhrat Qudratullaev, received a sentence of 10 years and 6 months, while his sons, Bekzod Zafarov and Ikhtiyor Qudratullaev, were sentenced to 11 and 9 years, respectively. Nargiza Jumanyozova, the only female defendant, was sentenced to 4 years and 4 months of imprisonment.

The verdict found Qudratullaev (born in Tashkent in 1971, previously convicted) guilty under several articles of the Criminal Code, including Article 104, Part 3, Clause "g"; Article 109, Part 2; Article 165, Part 3, Clauses "a" and "v"; Article 168; Article 242, Clauses "a" and "b"; Article 243; and Article 276, Part 2. Additionally, he was classified as a highly dangerous recidivist under Article 34 of the Criminal Code and was sentenced to serve his term in a high-security prison. Furthermore, in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Code, Bakhtiyor Qudratullaev was ordered to undergo mandatory drug addiction treatment during his incarceration.
