Some students to receive scholarships of up to 2 million soums

University graduates undertaking internships under the “My First Profession” program will receive scholarships of up to 2 million soums per month. The announcement was made on February 24 during a meeting between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and young people at the Kuksaroy residence.

It was also noted that the “Future Entrepreneur” program will be launched this year, providing young entrepreneurs with loans at an annual interest rate of 15 percent for up to seven years.

Under the initiative, self-employed youth will be eligible for unsecured loans of up to 20 million soums. Young people with entrepreneurial skills starting their own businesses will be able to access loans of up to 300 million soums. Those seeking to expand their operations may receive up to 2 billion soums, while entrepreneurs employing at least five graduates will qualify for loans of up to 10 billion soums.

In cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the “My First Profession” program will be implemented. A competitive selection process will be held among university graduates participating in internship programs, with selected participants receiving monthly scholarships of up to 2 million soums.

It was noted that 30 percent of young people starting businesses face difficulties due to a lack of entrepreneurial skills.

To address this issue, “Youth Business Incubators” will be launched in each region, offering comprehensive services such as entrepreneurship training, transforming ideas into businesses, accounting, banking, marketing, and assistance in enterinhttps://t.me/qalampirg domestic and foreign markets.

Officials were instructed to designate suitable locations for these centers. This year, such incubators will be established in Karakalpakstan, Jizzakh, Namangan, Surkhandarya, Khorezm, and the city of Tashkent, with the remaining regions to follow next year.

Earlier during the same meeting, it was announced that an additional $200 million would be allocated to support youth entrepreneurship.
