On October 30, a bus driver in Samarkand faced disciplinary action for displaying a sign that read "Women in the front, men in the back" inside his vehicle, according to the Samarkand Regional Transportation Department.

The incident was brought to light on October 29 when an appeal circulated on social media, highlighting the sign's discriminatory nature that restricted the free movement of passengers. The Samarkand regional transport department investigated the complaint and confirmed that the sign was found in a bus operating on the route from "Navbog Mahalla" to "Pistamozor Mahalla," designated as route No. 22. Following the investigation, the offensive sign was promptly removed from the bus.

The transport department also held discussions with drivers from the service company "Dilshodtransservis" LLC to address the issue. As a result, the driver, identified as A.R., received a disciplinary measure for his actions by the established protocols.

This incident follows a recent event in Tashkent, where a disagreement between two bus drivers on route 1 led to promises of strict disciplinary measures against one of them.
