AsadAlgo's sibling resisted the authorities of the agency and used a “sharp object” to cause harm to himself

Previously, a video surfaced showing the brother of the deceased blogger, identified as AsadAlgo, causing harm to himself with a "sharp object." Tashkent city's HDIA responded to this incident.

On the night of March 25, several individuals engaged in a public disturbance in Chilonzor district. Despite efforts by district Department of Coordinating Activities of the DIA officers to calm them and complete necessary paperwork at the nearest DIA, they resisted authorities and some appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance.

In response, administrative reports were filed against these individuals for offenses including petty hooliganism and failure to comply with law enforcement orders.

"On March 26, 2024, during their court summons, one of the individuals (the brother of the blogger AsadAlgo), Sh.A., protested by removing his shirt, placing a sharp object on his stomach, and inflicting a minor injury on himself. Quick action by DIA staff prevented serious harm," the report states.

Sh.A. received immediate medical attention and was discharged the same day with diagnoses of abdominal and wrist injuries.

The district prosecutor's office is currently investigating the incident.
