Aripov pays a visit to theater in Kyrgyzstan, financed by Uzbekistan for $5 million

Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov familiarized themselves with the reconstruction of the building of the Osh State Academic Uzbek Music and Drama Theatre, named after Babur. The Government of Kyrgyzstan's press service reported this.
It should be noted that at a meeting between the representatives of the president of the Kyrgyz Republic in the border regions and the Council of governors of the border regions of Uzbekistan, an agreement was signed between the Cabinets of Ministers of the two countries on the implementation of equipment.
Reconstruction work began in September 2021 and is expected to be completed in September of the current year. The estimated cost of the work is 5 million dollars. The theater is designed with a capacity of 500 seats.
For reference, yesterday, 1 April, Abdulla Aripov travelled to Kyrgyzstan on a working visit. During the visit, the Prime Minister took part in the opening of an Uzbek-funded school in Kyrgyzstan, for $3.5 million.
