Man detained in Andijan for possessing 2.5 kg of hashish

A man was detained in Andijan for possessing a total of 2.5 kg of hashish, discovered in his car and a rented house. This was confirmed by the Andijan Regional Department of Internal Affairs.

According to reports, during an emergency operation in Andijan, a Matiz car was stopped and inspected as part of standard procedure. Around 500 grams of hashish were found on the car's seat. Further investigation revealed more than 2 kg of the drug hidden in the bedroom and bathroom of the rented house where the individual resides. As a result, a total of 2.5 kg of hashish was seized as material evidence.

A criminal case has been initiated, and authorities are currently conducting an investigation.

This follows a similar case in Samarkand, where operatives from the regional Department of Internal Affairs arrested a suspect in the Bulungur district for attempting to sell 5 kg of marijuana for $10,000.
