Father sentenced to 9 years for beating his daughter to death in Andijan

In a shocking case in Andijan region, a father was sentenced to 9 years in prison for beating his 6th-grade daughter to death after she took food from a school buffet without asking.

The incident occurred in October 2024 in the Markhamat district. According to reports, the girl had taken food from the school cafeteria several times without permission. After a teacher complained to the father about the repeated behavior, the father became enraged and used a black rubber belt to beat his daughter. The resulting injuries led to the girl's death.

The Andijan district court found the father guilty under Article 104, Part 3, Subparagraph "d" of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison.

This case follows a previous similar incident in the Tashkent region, where a man who regularly beat his daughters was sentenced to three years in prison.
