Shukurov, arrested in Kazakhstan, extradited to Uzbekistan

Akmal Shukurov, who was involved in a violent incident at a nightclub in Tashkent that left a citizen in a coma, has been detained in Kazakhstan and extradited to Uzbekistan. The Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs confirmed the extradition.

Shukurov has now arrived in Tashkent, where the investigation into the incident continues. Authorities emphasized that the investigation would be conducted thoroughly and impartially, ensuring that justice is served.

Earlier reports indicated that Shukurov had assaulted a citizen at a nightclub in the Yakkasaroy district of Tashkent, resulting in the victim being placed in a coma. During the investigation, Shukurov was charged in absentia under Articles 277 (Hooliganism) and 104 (Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. A search warrant was issued, and Shukurov was eventually located and detained in Kazakhstan.
