“Unbelievable Salaries.” What Organization Do Leaders Have News About?

37706News about high salaries in state organizations continues to circulate, with the latest reports surfacing on social media regarding substantial bonuses granted to the heads of the Hydrometeorological Agency. The Ministry of Natural Resources' Press Service has responded to this matter.
According to a circulated order from the head of the Hydrometeorological Service Agency, numerous employees are planned to receive rewards for their active participation in the timely and high-quality execution of appeals, documents, assignments, and orders throughout 2022. The order states that the agency's general director, Sh. Habibullaev, and his deputy, I Karimov, were awarded a bonus 50 times the minimum wage (920 thousand soms,) totaling 46 million soms. Notably, the order was signed by Sh. Habibullaev himself.
The Ministry of Natural Resources has initiated an investigation into the situation and is conducting appropriate studies. Following the investigation, the ministry has stated that it will take necessary measures in accordance with the law.
To recap, information regarding high salaries was leaked from the director of the National Metrology Institute of Uzbekistan, a part of the Technical Regulator Agency of Uzbekistan. The leaked list revealed that the institute’s director received 272 million soms, the chief accountant received 303 million soms, the lawyer received 402 million soms, and the department heads received 141 and 148 million soms, respectively.
Earlier, it was reported that the head and accountant of another organization under the Technical Regulatory Agency of Uzbekistan, the "Uzbekistan Scientific-Testing and Quality Control Center" (UzTest), also received substantial salaries. The chief accountant of the institution received a total of 469 million soms, while the head received 136 million soms during January and February.
Subsequently, it was confirmed that these reports were accurate, and the relevant documents were forwarded to the General Prosecutor's Office for legal evaluation. As a result, the head of UzTest was terminated from their position.
