Mirziyoyev announces increase in teachers' salaries

On June 19, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed proposals aimed at enhancing the quality of pre-school and school education and improving the teacher training system, as reported by the President's press service.

President Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of continually encouraging educated and ambitious teachers. He proposed increasing the monthly salaries of teachers with the highest and first qualification categories starting in September 2025.

A separate program has been developed for teachers who failed certification and lack sufficient experience, with instructions to enhance their qualifications. Drawing on the President's school experience, a system for the professional development of kindergarten and school leaders and teachers every five years will be established at the National Research Institute named after Abdulla Avloniy. Additionally, 11 pedagogic colleges in the regions will become competence improvement centers, with a goal of attracting international trainers.

Furthermore, the evaluation system used in the President's school will be implemented in 1,000 more schools starting the next academic year. These schools will be paired with 182 specialized and 500 experienced schools.
