7014Previously, it was reported that Kyrgyzstan had banned the sale of carbonated drinks with pomegranate extract from Afghanistan, and these drinks were entirely removed from stores in Osh city. The same product was also imported to Uzbekistan, as stated by the Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee.
The committee noted that no toxic or harmful substances were found in the pomegranate-flavored drink imported to Uzbekistan.
Reports indicate that new samples of pomegranate-flavored products from Afghanistan are being re-tested in a controlled laboratory setting.
Furthermore, there have been no public complaints or reports of poisoning related to the quality of this product up to now.
