Reports on social media indicated that stores in Tashkent have begun selling a cannabis-flavored energy drink featuring an "unusual" image on its packaging. The Sanitary and Epidemiological Peace and Public Health Committee officially addressed the matter.

Following sanitary-hygienic, bacteriological, parasitological, and radiological tests, a sanitary-epidemiological certificate was issued for the 330-milliliter energy drink made in the Czech Republic and imported to Uzbekistan. Laboratory results showed no presence of toxic or harmful substances, deemed safety indicators, in the drink.

The drink's packaging lists its ingredients as water, sugar, citric acid, sodium citrate, taurine, caffeine, hemp flavoring, caramel coloring, and vitamins B2, B6, B12, and pantothenic acid.

"Since its official import into Uzbekistan through customs in November 2023, there have been no complaints or reports of poor quality or poisoning from its consumption," the report states.

It was previously reported that a carbonated beverage with pomegranate extract from Afghanistan also showed no signs of poisonous or harmful substances.
