These days, the World Championship in rapid and blitz chess is being held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The main contender for the top prize of the competition is the current world champion Nodirbek Abdusattarov from Uzbekistan. The 1st place was taken by Norwegian Magnus Carlsen, as world champion, he accumulated 7.5 points after the remaining rounds. Russian Vladimir Fedoseyev, who is in 2nd place, also has 7 points.
