It is noted that today, on 28 March, a video message was circulated on the Telegram social network, saying that a 9-point earthquake may occur in the territory of Uzbekistan this week. The person in the video warned that a magnitude 9 earthquake will occur in Uzbekistan this week and urged people to be careful.
According to the Cyber Security Center, the statements made in the video are false. The center also urged people not to believe such reports.
"Don't be fooled by fake news, follow our channels to get detailed information!", the center said.
It should be recalled that earlier QALAMPIR.UZ received information from industry experts about the possibility of strong earthquakes occurring in Uzbekistan shortly. In it, the expert noted that anomalous events that could cause strong earthquakes in Uzbekistan are not expected. It was also said that no country can predict the exact time of an earthquake.

According to the report of the Republican Center for Seismoprognostic Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the epicenter of this earthquake was 217 km southeast of Tashkent, in Tajikistan. The magnitude of the earthquake in Tashkent was 5 points.
