Repeating winners of 'Open Budget' given a break

In the "Initiative Budget" process, 826 neighborhoods that repeatedly won during the second season of last year and the first season of this year have been temporarily excluded for the second season. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

It was stated that, by the end of the first season of this year, 2,011 neighborhoods (21% of the total number of neighborhoods) were declared winners. Among them, 329 neighborhoods secured victory for the first time within the scope of this season.

Furthermore, the 826 neighborhoods that were winners during the second season of 2024 and again in this season have been given a break for the second season of this year and the first season of 2026.

It was reported that these neighborhoods (as well as schools, kindergartens, medical institutions, and other organizations located within them) would not be able to participate in their projects in the next two seasons.

In cases where the list of winners requires adjustments, the list of neighborhoods on break will be published before the start of each season on the official pages of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the "Open Budget" portal.

It is worth recalling that earlier, it was announced that 2,369 projects worth 3.2 trillion soums had been declared winners in the first season of the 2025 "Initiative Budget" process.
