A 60-year-old man sexually assaulted a 6-year-old girl in the Tashkent region, as reported by the information service of the Children's Ombudsman.
It is noted that the public activists of the Children's Ombudsman received an appeal from E.N., a resident of Nurafshon, Tashkent region. It says that on June 11 of this year, E.N.'s neighbor, S.Sh., born in 1964, committed lewd actions against M.K., E.N.'s daughter, born in 2018.
"The Children's Ombudsman took charge of the situation, and on June 19, the Investigative Department of the Nurafshon City IIB initiated a criminal case against S.Sh under Article 129, Part 2 of the Criminal Code for making obscene acts against a person under the age of sixteen," according to the message.
On June 20, a request was filed in court to impose a preventive detention measure on S.Sh.
"The Children's Ombudsman will continue to oversee this criminal case to ensure the child's interests are protected," stated the Children's Ombudsman.
