Floods may experience in four regions

Due to the expected rains from July 7-9 this year, floods may occur in the mountainous and hilly regions of the republic, as reported by Uzgidromet.

According to reports, a flood risk has been declared in the following areas:

• Tashkent Region: Ohangaron, Bostonliq, Parkent, Piskent, Ortachirchiq, Yuqorichirchiq districts, and Angren, Olmaliq cities.
• Namangan Region: Pop, Kosonsoy, Chortoq, Chust, Namangan, Yangiqorgon districts.
• Fergana Region: Sokh, Shohimardon, Fergana, Beshariq districts.
• Andijan Region: Andijan, Asaka, Jalaquduq, Qorgontepa, Pakhtaobod, Izboskan, Khojaobod, Marhamat districts, and Khonobod city.

"Citizens living in mountainous and hilly areas, vacationers, and drivers traveling through these regions are advised to take precautionary measures," the report stated.

There is a potential for rainwater accumulation in the Tashkent region and the Fergana Valley, which could lead to flooding in these areas.
