In 2022, it was said how many Uzbeks went abroad to earn a living

In 2022, about 60,000 Uzbeks went to work legally in other countries.  This was stated in a video posted on the channel of the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Employment.

It is reported that in 2000, remittances from migrants to Uzbekistan amounted to 790 million dollars, and in 2022 this figure will reach 8 billion dollars.

In 2022, a total of about 60,000 citizens of Uzbekistan were sent to foreign countries for legal work.

According to statistics, in 2000 the number of migrants in the world was 96 million people, and by 2022 this number will reach 164 million people.  46% of them are female migrants.

In April of this year, the head of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, Maxim Reshetnikov, announced that the number of labor migrants from Uzbekistan has increased fourfold in seven years.

According to earlier analysis, the number of migrant workers in Russia will increase by almost 30% in 2022 and reach 3.47 million.  More than 90 percent of them were contributed by Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
